GAGA, Oh Lala
Caught in a bad romance with the singer’s lilac apparels
In the most biblical sense, she is beyond repentance, and her avant-garde apparels demonstrate that when it comes to fashion, Gaga isn’t terrified to gamble. After all, she knows who’s the ultimate WINNER amongst the myriads. She brought unorthodox garments from tête-à-tête to a dining table discourse when it wasn’t millennial and Gaga continues to dominate the roads she walks.
If you are someone who was liberated by the tracks like Born This Way, you probably know Lady Gaga is just another way of spelling Unparalleled.
She harnessed thunderbolt from the oblivion sky to her face for her Poker face video, wore soda cans for curlers, and sang a telephone verse to Beyonce, and her Cannes 2019 appearance, where she served us four multi-layered looks is internalized in our minds for eternity. So you get the gist, we go all Gaga over Gaga.
Recently, the Fashion Icon was spotted in New York City rocking a Lilac attire by Valentino. She paired it up with a pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses with a purple border complimenting the attire. Her illusionary pair of stilettos and bumblebee yellow gloves were a sight to behold. Apparently, Gaga came out of a rehearsal at Radio City Music Hall for her upcoming concert with Tony Bennett. She set the seal to the look with a Lavender hued-headdress which was designed by the legendary Philip Treacy. Gaga makes wearing extra look so effortless. It’s like she promulgates there is nothing called extra, or unconventional, and if some of their basic jeans get sick of you wearing volumes on the road, the intimidation is on them.
The outfit was a part of the “Valentino Des Atelier” the Fall Winter 2021 Haute Couture collection — a collection where Pier Paolo Piccioli brought a group of painters of all ages, backgrounds, and aesthetic inclinations into the Atelier.
Lilac wraps Gaga as if she has found a dream mansion to live in for eternity, but this wasn’t the first time Gaga stole the show with a hue of lavender.
In 2013, Gaga championed the whimsical when she wore a purple Balmain skirt and paired it up with a black puffed top from the same collection. Although it wasn’t a purple head to toe, the strand of amethyst was a highlight on the canvas.
The outfit was a part of the Balmain Fall 2013 Ready-to-Wear collection. Gaga knows how to establish herself as an authority, and not just with her music. Her outfits make her appear as someone who’s commanding, and an armature of Female Authority. It’s liberating to be able to wear whatever one wants, without the fear of being deduced, and Gaga not only embodies, but promulgates that. Excuse me while I order some McQueen.
In 2010, Gaga was a head-turner at Chicago’s Lollapalooza in an embellished-exaggerated Violet Jacket with dramatic, sky-high shoulder pads. Latex-looking dark violet gloves added an edge. Her very extra glittering goggles shone like thunder on a mundane night.
Gaga enhances the silhouettes of the apparel she wears. It’s like Avant Garde outfits find a residence in her. Just like her performance, she incorporated the essence of Broadway and Pop music and gave us a look we’d never forget. Apparently, Gaga wore this outfit especially for “Glitter & Grease,” a song that implies a collision of beauty and ugliness.
Well, she needs to try a little hard to showcase the ugly, because it’s goddamn difficult when you are Lady Gaga. And can we please sign a petition for her to do more lilacs, cause honestly, this shade deserves more GAGA.
