Yoncé all on our Mouths like Liquor, like Liquor, like, like Liquor
Far from the planet we reside, there exists a land with perennial monuments, ruled by a Matriarchal Majesty, who wakes up Flawless. For her coronation, Her Majesty picks a barely-there sheer ensemble with strategically placed rhinestones and emeralds, revealing her voluptuous self. Her body afterall, is a piece of ART. She stands straight in a provocative pose, her eyes a dagger, lips an arsenal. For hair, she brings waves from the ferocious river, right on her curls and keeps them open. The luscious hair then sways till her hips, giving her a warrior-demeanor, as if she is about to unveil a Feminine Prophecy.
In her cold gaze, beautiful she is indeed, but deadly.
Instead of holding a sword, Her Majesty extends her arms towards the sky spreading them in opposite directions, holding a varnished veil. Just like her apparel, she reveals as much she conceals. On swiping right, she rolls down the Partition and we are able to see the ensemble in its entirety.
Her Majesty is Beyonce, the other land is the historic Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, where the Oscars After Party is being hosted by her and Jay-Z, and her apparel as always, demonstrates a story of its own.
The Illusionary apparel by Celia Kritharioti Couture, contains one sleeve, and is encrusted with crystals at strategic places, from the bodice till the floor. On the torso, the apparel opens up into a dramatic slit. With her vintage sunglasses, the finery is as timeless as the muse wearing it. The entire apparel is complemented with silver encrusted clutch, nude stockings, and sandals. In her diamond knot necklace, she heralds a Powerful Regalia.
Beyonce doesn’t appear on Social Media frequently, her unrivaled privacy, and exclusivity is a part of who she is. But when she comes around, the images are circulated like wildfire.
Knowledge is a contemporary Mesh Lover, as evident from her Givenchy Met Gala outfit in 2015. The Formation hitmaker can oscillate the mesh into any mood she wants. While the Givenchy outfit reflected a more subtle fairytale, the latest outfit screams Royal-Renegade.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Beyonce said “It’s hard going against the grain, but being a small part of some of the overdue shifts happening in the world feels very rewarding. I want to continue to work to dismantle systemic imbalances. I want to continue to turn these industries upside down. I plan to create businesses outside of music. I have learned that I have to keep on dreaming. One of my favorite quotes is from the inventor Charles Kettering. It goes ‘Our imagination is the only limit to what we can hope to have in the future.’”
Beyonce got a million miles on her, and just like these decades, we cannot wait to see how far she goes. She is not a Legend in the making, she in fact makes that very term tangible. Just like we grew up listening to the perpetual melodies of “If I were a boy” and “Who Run the World”, it’s ecstatic to know that we share the world at a time of Beyonce.
